Sean McClocklin believes the residents of Nipissing deserve a better kind of leader: one who wakes up every day thinking about what they can do for the community. He is committed to being that representative, and a strong voice for change at Queen’s Park.
A certified addictions counsellor, Sean understands the need for immediate action on mental healthcare, drug treatment programs, and housing affordability. He is proud to represent the Ontario Greens — the first party with a stand alone mental health platform — in Nipissing.
As a survivor of the child welfare system, Sean is a passionate advocate for diversity, social justice, and income equity. He has spent hundreds of hours volunteering with youth and vulnerable persons in the community, championing underrepresented voices.
Sean is deeply concerned about climate change, viewing this crisis as one of the most pressing issues for Northern Ontario. Motivated by the unsettling direction Doug Ford is taking the province, Sean wants to be the effective change we need to build the community we want.
Sean currently works with Young Greens of Ontario, shaping party policies and exploring action initiatives. In addition to this Sean is a full-time Residential Treatment Worker; developing and delivering therapeutic programs and treatment services to vulnerable adolescents and adults with disabilities.
